After starting on February 25 with a large group of hopeful singers, The Voice’s 16th season ended on Tuesday with a star-studded finale.
The season consisted of the last four, consisting of three singers Blake Shelton, Andrew Sevener, Dexter Roberts and Gyth Rigdon, and a teammate of John Legend, Maelyn Jarmon, who competed for Saber who crowned the new voice champion.
After all the songs have been sung and all the votes counted, the winner of this season of The Voice is …
… Maelyn Jarmon !!
As for the remaining competitors, Rigdon was named runner-up, while Roberts was third and Sevener was fourth.
“I did not expect that, so to be here, I owe it to all those who voted and broadcast my songs, I do it for you,” Jarmon said. “I am very grateful!”
At the beginning of the final, coaches Adam Levine, Kelly Clarkson and Bebe Rexha, of the Comeback stage, were eliminated from the competition, leaving the Blake team with three of the four finalists, all male singers, and the Juan team with one hope. He was the only singer among the finalists.
The end of Tuesday’s season not only saw a new song winner, but also offered fans three great performances by the biggest names in music, including the Jonas Brothers, Taylor Swift with Brendon Urie and BTS.
On Monday, Sophie Schillaci (ET) met with Shelton before the first night of the season finale, and the country’s crooner could not contain his enthusiasm for meeting the beloved K-pop band.
